BEESWAX

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees of the genus Apis. It is the material they use to build their honeycombs—the structural "house" where they store honey and raise their young.

What it is: It is secreted from eight wax-producing glands on the abdominal segments of young female worker bees. They must consume about 8 kg of honey to produce just 1 kg of wax.
